Completing and Submitting Hydrant Tests in EPR FireWorks
Overview
Master procedure for finalizing hydrant tests in EPR FireWorks, covering test documentation completion, next test scheduling, and submission with email notifications for department records and regulatory compliance.
Before You Start
Active hydrant test session
Completed pressure readings and flow measurements
Testing equipment secured and readings recorded
Completing Test Documentation and Remarks
Document test observations and complete custom field requirements in EPR FireWorks.
Navigate to Remarks (Below Flow Test).
Enter operational observations in the remarks field.
Navigate to the Custom Fields section.
Complete optional custom test fields as defined by your department.
Scheduling Next Test and Visit Summary
Configure the next testing cycle and finalize visit documentation.
Scroll down to the Next Test section.
Enter the Next Test Date in the date field based on your department's testing schedule.
Configure assignment dropdowns:
Staff: Select assigned personnel from dropdown
Station: Choose responsible station from dropdown
Shift: Select appropriate shift assignment from dropdown
Select Apparatus from the dropdown for the next testing cycle.
Scroll down to the Visit Summary section.
Verify Visit Date shows current date (08/26/2025 in interface).
Complete visit duration using one of these methods:
Enter time manually in the Visit Duration (Minutes) field
Click Calculate button to auto-calculate duration from test start time in EPR FireWorks
Result: Next test scheduled with crew assignments and visit summary completed.
Configuring Email Notifications and Final Submission
Set up notification distribution and submit the completed test:
Scroll down to the Email Report section.
Enter recipient email addresses in the Email field for completion notifications.
Configure notification distribution lists:
Staff List: Select from department staff dropdown
Mailing List: Select from the configured distribution groups dropdown
Check Send A Copy To Myself checkbox for personal record retention.
Click the Submit button to finalize test documentation.
Result: Hydrant test submitted to EPR FireWorks with email notifications sent to designated recipients.
