Documenting Patient Care (ePCR)
Overview
The ePCR module in EPR FireWorks guides you through a structured, step-by-step process for documenting patient care. Each section below corresponds to a tab in the ePCR interface and links to a dedicated guide. Complete each section sequentially to ensure all required information is captured.

Documentation Sections
1. Incident
Document incident location, response details, crew assignments, scene assessment, and patient disposition.
2. Times
Record critical timestamps throughout the incident response using manual entry or automatic CAD integration.
3. Patient
Capture patient demographics, contact information, medical history, current medications, and insurance details.
4. Assessment
Document chief complaint, vital signs, physical examination findings, clinical impressions, and all treatment provided. Includes conditional sections for trauma (Injury) and cardiac arrest cases.
5. Billing
Document procedure codes, supply usage, mileage, and billing information for reimbursement processing.
6. Other
Record quality control data and patient outcome information for compliance tracking and quality improvement.
7. Signatures
Capture required electronic signatures from crew members, patients, and witnesses following departmental protocols.
8. Narrative
Write the incident narrative summarizing assessment findings, treatment provided, patient response, and final disposition.
