Rapid Field Response
Overview
The Rapid Field Response toolkit provides emergency medical personnel with streamlined documentation tools for active field operations. These four features enable fast ePCR documentation during time-critical emergency response without navigating through multiple screens.
When to Use: Active emergency response, field operations, time-critical documentation, routine incident workflows
Core Features
Critical Fields
Access: Triangle icon (!) in top toolbar
Essential NEMSIS-designated fields that control validation rules throughout the ePCR schematron. These hard-coded fields affect treatment timestamping, drug calculations, and validation logic.
Use When:
Starting ePCR documentation (arrival time, unit identification)
Administering medications (patient weight for dose calculations)
Completing transport (disposition information)

Quick Actions
Access: Lightning bolt icon
in top toolbar
Pre-configured treatment presets with automatic timestamping for documenting medications and procedures during patient care.
Use When:
Administering treatments in real-time
Documenting medications and procedures rapidly
Tracking time-critical interventions

Checklists
Location: Upper toolbar
Structured documentation for protocol verification and clinical decision criteria including patient refusals, trauma criteria, and protocol compliance.
Use When:
Documenting patient refusals (capacity assessment)
Assessing trauma center criteria
Verifying protocol compliance
Recording clinical decisions for quality assurance
Note: Checklists are internal EPR FireWorks tools, not NEMSIS data elements. They print with ePCR and embed in billing PDFs.
